It was recently reported that multiple oil transport and storage companies all over Europe have been targeted by cyber-attacks.

Indeed, IT systems of oil businesses in Germany (Oiltanking), Belgium (SEA-Invest), and the Netherlands (Evos) have been affected by cyber threats over the weekend in a coordinated attack. The systems all went down or were severely disrupted.

An investigation is currently underway to know the origin of the attack, which is still unknown, while people are working to get a backup IT system online. As for now, the companies are working in limited capacities.
